You see, sometimes working in ED, there are patients that you think that are of annoyance.. You see these patients are usually group under, medically unexplained symptoms. physically unexplained- no pathological defined..

I usually tried to tune it into somatization. I found this reference which is very helpful.

1. Cardiology – non-cardiac chest pain, benign palpitation
2. Gastroenterology – irritable bowel syndrome, non-ulcer dyspepsia
3. Rheumatology – fibromyalgia, repetitive strain injury
4. Immunology – multiple chemical sensitivity
5. ENT – globus syndrome
6. Neurology – conversion disorders, non-epileptic attacks, chronic benign headache
7. Gynaecology – chronic pelvic pain
8. Paediatrics – non-specific abdominal pain
9. Renal – loin pain haematuria, urethral syndrome

it helps a lot when working esp on manic mondays
