..of Winter of Islam and the Spring to come

I managed to go to the Islamic Input lecture by Prof. Kamal Hassan, the other day. An outstanding professor. He went on to explain the functions and how-tos of Dakwah in the midst of struggle for Islam. Yes, he gave a very brief explaination. Intellectual discussion, and understanding.

And, I also asked him one question of thought, after I have gone several episodes of deep thinking. My question was, “How do you keep on with the psychological motivation for this struggle for Islam with this hectic life ?”

You see, this question poses a chronological meaning. Yes, i know that, you can do a one-night “stand” of qiyamulail and one-day of puasa. But that struggle to keep that maintenance of delicacy of Iman is so difficult. It is so difficult to nuture that awareness of Allah. Knowing that, He would be watching you all the time.

It is, I would describe it as, changes in the thermodynamic of dynamic equlibrium, or, like, the one theory proposed by this German guy, Heinz,; when he described that, the exact location of an electron is uncertain, ahh.. yes, the theory of Uncertainty.

Yes, this psycological motivation is very uncertain. You never know when your heart changes. It perpetuates this uncertainty reality. It denotes an undefined nature of the heart.

Only, it can be conciously motivated by the weak mind. And, the mind is so weak that it could change the heart into the other side. difficult hey!

Then, Prof. Kamal answered, the question. I can only guess that he answered the question as how he maintains his psychological motivation.

He answered,” You have to read, understand and see things around you. Join in talks and discussions of Islam. and, know the current situation of the ummah.”

To my utter surprise, I have known this answer for so long. I have even fought for this answer. Only that I dont know why I didn’t know the beginning of the development of the answer. May be I was answering a different question or may be I was not looking for the source of the answer, the right question?

So in my search for the this psychological motivation cure. I went on to find books of thoughts, I would call it.

And I came accross this very book written by the renowned authorship of Harun Yahya.

He said;

A true believer, however, is responsible for all that he hears and sees. Allah calls in Muslim in the Quran;

4:75 And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: “Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!”
There is no question, of course, of people of conscience who obey the command contained in that verse closing their eyes and ignoring what is going on.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for a Muslim to sleep IRRESPONSIBLY in his comfortable bed, FRITTER AWAY his time, and THINK only about his own pleasure and interest when such violent cruelty is going on in the world. That is because, a believer knows taht the fundamental solution to unjust wars, massacres, cruelty, hunger and moral degeneration, in short to ALL world’s problems, lies in the spreading the morality of the Qur’an.

That knowledge places a GREAT responsibility on his shoulders:that of explaining the religion of Islam and the beautiful things it bring with it, propagating the morality on the Qur’an, and waging a WAR against the IDEAS of ATHEISM.

Lengthy hey!

You see, we lost the war within us, not because of not knowing Islam. We lost this war because, we didn’t know ourselves and we didn’t know and realized or acknowledge our mighty God, Allah. We didnt know the purpose of this life.

And this is because, we did not reflect and think and ponder of in which why we were long created? Why we were created?

30:8 Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but for just ends and for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them: yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection)!

Again, I quoted Harun Yahya’s explaination;

Someone who fails to THINK will only understand the truth after he is dead., in the presence of Allah, but by then it will be far too late. I seek the solace from my God.
