Thoughts from Inside The Box

I find this blog rather helpful and moving.

Young. Google employee. Living in side “The Box”. Minimalist. Frugal. Resourceful. Saving money.

Apparently, living inside a car, is actually quite rare to see, in Malaysia. This trend of living inside a trailer, converted trailer, truck and small houses is not common and it is actually quite non conforming to the Malaysian public.

Brandon is a 23 year old, Google employee, read that Google employee, who lives inside a truck. He opted to stay inside his truck, due to the fact that, renting in San Francisco is overpriced and over rated.

He lives inside his 128 square foot truck. About 12 meter square bedroom of which he converted the truck to become his bedroom.

He casually documents his life. Time table. Routines. He wakes up at 5.30am. and sleep at 9.30pm .

I seen people living in their cars. But most of them are really poor. I meant really poor. Poor as a church mouse they say. Penniless, pauperised and destitute.

No basic amenities. No clean water. No food. No electricity . Nothing. Not even shelter on their head.

So now you have two extremes?

The american version of living in truck versus the Malaysian version living in the car.
